I went to Ruby's office this morning to schedule my classes for next semester. I am so excited for all my new classes coming up. Ok.. not so much the English or the online stuff but signing? fingerspelling? Heck yeah! I want to get so good so fast then I can communicate with anyone I want in the Deaf community! That's what I want the most. I want to be able to converse with the Deaf just as I do the hearing.. without feeling awkward or worried.
I can't believe how fast time is flying! Before I know it, I'll be in the ITP!!!!
This morning, I was reminded of the first time I tried to communicate with Ruby. I was scared to death and I didn't do so well... but now it's no big deal to ask her a question or small talk. I was saying at lunch that it's so funny how much we've all improved since beginning the class. For a lot of us, it's a huge difference since high school. One day, I will be astounded to think how little I used to know.. I am so ready for that day!
